Thank you again for being part of The Deliberate Creative Podcast!

I truly appreciate your involvement and I know the listeners will enjoy learning from you.

Below is important information to help the interview be successful and fun.

Background on The Deliberate Creative Podcast:

The Deliberate Creative Podcast is about helping people become more creative and innovative both individually and within teams. Each episode focuses on one topic and shares practical advice, research, strategies, techniques, and tools for listeners related to leadership, team development, and creativity/innovation. The primary audience is team leaders, managers, and executives who want to help their teams be more creative.

The purpose of the interview is to provide a new perspective or new information to the audience. Your research, stories, and experience will help listeners be more creative in their own lives – both professionally and personally.

What We’ll Talk About

Each episode will be 20-30 minutes and is divided into three main parts. The interview will be recorded and published at a later date (usually 1-4 weeks later) as a podcast episode and on YouTube.

Part 1: Your Background and Story

I’ll ask you to share a bit about who you are and what you do in relation to creativity, as well as how you got there.

Part 2: The Main Content

What can you teach the audience about creativity, leadership, and teams? In this section you’ll share with them your research, stories, and experiences you’ve had with your own work and/or with clients. Listeners enjoy hearing both success stories and blunders and failures as well. Think about what is most relevant to help someone else on their own journey to leading a creative team and becoming more creative in their work.

Part 3: Weekly Challenge

I always close the episodes with one challenge for the listeners. Something they can do that week related to the topic we talked about. Think about what you could challenge them to do related to your topic.

Part 4: Where to Find You

The last question I will ask you is where can listeners go to learn more about you and the work you do. This is a chance for you to share your website or other resource. Some guests choose to offer special deals for Deliberate Creative listeners. If you would like to do this let me know and I can help set this up. Examples include a special discount for a product you sell, a free download such as a resource page, or access to a private video with additional information. Usually such deals are available at a specific website link where listeners insert their email address and the deal is emailed to them. This can be a great way for both or either of us to build our email lists as well.  If you would like me to set this up just let me know.

Logistics

We’ll need about 60 minutes.  I’ll call you at our start time and then we’ll chat for a few minutes before I hit “record.” During the interview it will be as if we were “live” on the radio. I can do some editing afterwards if needed, but I try to keep that to a minimum.  It will be fun and organic.  We have our “road map” for the four parts of the podcast, but we’ll float with it and see just where the conversation takes us.

Please use a microphone and headphones during the interview. Even the simplest mic/headphones that come with an iPhone will work. The audio quality from built-in computer microphones will not sound as good on the podcast. There are more specific details on the Tech Checklist. Please review these and be prepared in time for our call. Let me know if you have any questions about logistics. I am happy to help.

Resources for the Audience

Each episode has an associated page of Show Notes that include links, references, or other resources. Show Notes are similar to a blog page. For example, see Episode 70. If you haven’t already, please email me a short bio, headshot, and any links you want included on the show notes page. If you have additional images you want us to include (e.g. your art work) please email those as well.

If you have ANY questions or you need anything from me before the interview just email me or call me on my cell at (608) 358-0840.

Thank you! I’m looking forward to our conversation!
